Personal Profile

Personal Philosphy

Liz Clough - Turquoise Personal Development

I am very aware that people often lack the confidence to move forward in their lives to gain the fulfilment they seek. My role is to bring about positive life change through creating an environment where people can safely explore areas of their lives which may be holding them back. My philosophy is "everyone has something to offer"

Values

I believe strongly that creating a climate of trust with clients is the key to energising creative thinking and unlocking negative beliefs. I work in a supportive manner to empower those I coach so they can truly take ownership of the positive changes they make. I have three core values embedded in my work namely:
*Respect
*Personal regard
*Empathy and understanding

Standards & Morals

I adopt a person-centred approach in my work. Whether supporting clients individually or facilitating to groups, I focus on meeting personal and/or organisational needs, recognising that change can only come about through self awareness and inner understanding. My holistic approach to working with clients readily interlinks with other coaching and motivational techniques.

Expertise and Professional Development

As a facilitator and trainer, I have over five years experience and have delivered more than fifty personal development workshops to groups of adults and young people from a variety of backgrounds.

I have used this experience to develop a range of bespoke workshops and programmes which are adaptable to meet individual and organisational needs.

As a counsellor, I hold the European Diploma awarded by CPCAB. My areas of specialism are in the fields of motivational and solution-focused therapy.

I undertake a programme of continuous personal and professional development to broaden my knowledge and skills of counselling, psychology, and, most recently, disability discrimination and equal opportunities.

Everyone has something to offer.
